Everett Eugene Hartsock

	Everett Eugene Hartsock, 80, of Dowell, passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2000 at his home.
	Mr. Hartsock had been a Carpenter.  He was a member of American Legion, VFW and a  60-year member and Past President of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
	He was born August 20, 1920 at DuQuoin, the son of Floran E. and Edna L. (Atkins) Hartsock. 
	Surviving are one son, Dennis Hartsock of Amarillo, Tex.; three daughters, Susan Leek of Irving, Ill., Claudia Lohman of Sherman, Ill, and Nancy Hartsock of Washington, D.C.; extended family, Kathy, Steve and Matthew Stanton of Dowell and Jan Neilson of Cobden and Scott Pike of Carbondale; one brother, James Hartsock of Cobden; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother and one granddaughter.
	Funeral services were Tuesday, November 21 at 2 p.m. at Neal-McClure Memorial Chapel.  Interment was in Old DuQuoin Cemetery.
	Friends called at Neal-McClure Funeral Home Monday, November 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. until time of service.
